My hair is naturally a dull medium blonde (some say it's a light brown.)

DON"T go for blond. I think your hair is pretty dark, so i would try lightning it up to a very light brown. THEN, if you dont' like it try red next time, but i think light brown will llook nicer. I know u've mentioned people say your hair is light brown, but it doesn't look like it. Almost black.

well, i know of people who have done it and it looked good, and others who it looked aweful, also, its a bit overdone. would you object to a funner color? maybe a bright red? you could balance the red by havig the back part solid red with a few red highlights in your bangs. if your hair is really long, i would stick to long, sideswept bangs. you need to have a perfect face with perfect makeup all the time for the straight acroos bangs to work, and they look like crap if your hair has any curl or wavy to it, so the sideswept are a safe option as they go with more face shapes and hairtypes

it looks well kl, but it looks like ive got blonde extensions in! because the bottom bit is obbviously the longest(as i have layers)..o it looks like the blonde bit is fake so im getting it redone at hairdressers, all blonde

My natural hair color is medium brown. Last year, I went to my hair dresser and colored it red for a drastic change. Since then, I've used color out of a box and I've been back to my stylist once. I am trying to get it back to brown, but every color that I use or my stylist uses goes back to red after a few weeks.I don't want to keep coloring it every few weeks. She told me that the only way to get it back to its natural color is to bleach it and then color it. Is this the only way besides letting it grow and cutting it? My hair is pretty long and I don't want to cut it and it looks really bad letting it grow on its own. Is the bleaching and coloring something I can do on my own or should I go to a stylist? Is there anything that will just take all of the color out and take it back to its natural color? Thanks.

Try using a clarifying shampoo. They are usually pretty good at stripping out color when you don't want them to lol. Red's and blacks are the hardest colors to change, but luckily red fades pretty quick. Low lights would be a good idea. Add in dark streaks..that will help the red blend better. I wouldn't bleach your hair, that's unnecessary damage for just being impatient.

I am a stylist and to be very honest with you, the only way to go natural is to let your hair grow out. color- all colors- are not natural as they have shine to 'em and what not. Bleaching would also result in breakage, I"m afraid, and result in you cutting it shorter, alot shorter. It's what I would call a chemical haircut there. Let it grow, fade that red. Might I recommend highlighting some strands brown to blend in with the red you already have? when I say highlight, I am not talking blonde. Put some brown streaks thru the top so it doesn't look like "hey I'm growing my color out" to give it some time and take some biotin pills or prenatal pills to speed up the growth process. Cut your hair about every 3 to 4 months and good luck.
