Are sisterlocks for me?

I have medium hair just barely grazing my shoulders and I want to wear sisterlocks. I currently have 1 1/2 inches of new growth as well. Here is the problem--I don't want to cut my hair, and I think that fake hair is against my purpose even if it temporary. I know that I can start sisterlocks with relaxed ends and a bit of new growth, but will it look crazy? How should I wear it once they've been started--with curled ends? Will this look cute? Ahhhhh...help!!!! (I make it seem like a big deal, but I want these type of locs for real, thanks!)

Are sisterlocks for me?

i think anyone can have sisterlocks! they are cute on anyone.... unless ur hair is really frizzy... ulgh

Are sisterlocks for me?

ok I have sister locks and i got them with the perm still in my hair. they are easier to do than dreads with dreads you have to wait until the perm comes out or cut it off. Report It

Are sisterlocks for me?

I'm a blond with really curly hair and I braided it all over in small braids (the size you want your locks) and just left it. You can wash it and everything and before you know it, it will start dreading at the top by the scalp.

At this point if you change your mind you can get them out without losing too much hair but once they are done, honey you'll have to shave your head to get rid of them

I really dig them though so I vote yes!Curled ends are super cute. Plus as they get longer you can braid in ribbons and stuff. Yeah! fun hair
