So I'm 23 and feeling the effects of the quarter-life crisis. LOL. Well, my question is about hair.
I'm going for a haircut tomorrow, but still not sure what I really want for myself. I have medium curls and enough volume. What I lack is versatility. I've heard now and again that curly heads don't have much of a choice when it comes to haircuts, and I'm beginning to believe that now. Up until 20, I had my hair in one length. Then I discovered "layers". And, ever since then, I've had just that. Bluntly-cut layers....sometimes 3, sometimes 4.
I wanna do something different, and NO, I do not want to straighten my hair. I did the semi-permanent one once and it didn't quite suit me.
I have a round face that looks oval in pictures. My hair is medium length and my eyes are my best features.
So what do you think I should do tomorrow?
Please help! I'm from a small town and the hairdressers here don't have much of an imagination themselves, but they take instructions very well.
Answer if you may!?
angle the front of your hair to bring out your eyes and keep the layers.. i feel like if you want a major change get some highlights

Umm this is from a straight teen guy's perspective... look at pictures of styles you think you might like and show them there.

Before you go to your hair appointment tomorrow, go to a store and look through magazines until you find a picture of a cut that would suit you well. I have been to beauty school and so I can tell you that without seeing you, your hair and facial structute, it is impossible for someone to give you good advice on what would be a good cut on you. When you look at the pictures make sure the model has curly hair like you and also the same shaped face that you have (including the same shaped jawline). If you find a cut you love on a girl with the same curly hair and facial shape, buy the magazine and take the picture with you to show the stylist, or look up some curly hairstyles on line and print out the picture and take it with you. Good luck with this.
